Why the train
The organiser encourages it
For journeys of four hours or less, the organiser encourages attendees to take the train. In 2026 every MWC and 4YFN attendee could book Renfe high-speed and long-distance tickets to or from Barcelona Sants or França with a 15 % discount, unlocked from the attendee registration area. The 2027 conditions are not published yet.
The last leg
From the platform to Gran Via
By car, Sants to Fira Gran Via is 5.1 km and about 10 minutes without traffic (OSRM, OpenStreetMap). Book with your train number and arrival time: the driver waits at the station with a sign showing your name, with 30 minutes of free waiting. If your train is late, tell us and we adjust the pick-up.
By public transport there is no direct line. The usual route is the L3 metro from Sants Estació to Espanya and then the FGC train from Plaça d’Espanya to Europa | Fira. With suitcases or a group, the car saves the changes; alone with a backpack, the metro is fine.
