Driving to MWC: parking, low-emission zone and traffic

Low-emission zone

The ZBE Rondes de Barcelona covers the venue

Fira Gran Via is in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, which is inside the ZBE Rondes de Barcelona low-emission zone together with the city of Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. The restriction applies from 07:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday, to vehicles without a DGT environmental label, which covers every congress day. Cars registered abroad do not carry the Spanish label and may need to be entered in the register of the metropolitan area (AMB). Check your car before you drive.

Parking around Fira Gran Via

The organiser’s accessibility page mentions Parking B and Parking F at the venue, with accessible spaces. Hotels and private car parks around Plaça d’Europa also rent spaces, but in congress week they fill up and prices are set by each operator. The organiser recommends public transport and, if you drive, allowing plenty of extra time.

Traffic

What the roads looked like in 2026

On the last day of MWC 2026 the press reported queues of about 8.5 km on the Ronda Litoral and up to 7.5 km on the Ronda de Dalt, with a demonstration on Gran Via. The live panel on the airport page shows current incidents from the Catalan traffic service.

A pre-booked car with a professional driver removes the parking, the low-emission zone and the navigation from your list: the driver drops you at the door and leaves. Private cars and buses drop off on Carrer de Salvador Espriu according to the organiser (see drop-off and pick-up).

Is Fira Gran Via in the Barcelona low-emission zone?

Yes. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is inside the ZBE Rondes de Barcelona, which applies from 07:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday.

Can I drive a foreign-registered car into the ZBE?
