How to get to MWC: metro L9, FGC, train and car
An honest guide to reaching Fira Gran Via in congress week: what public transport covers, which entrance to use for your hall and when a car is the better choice.

Public transport
Metro, FGC and the attendee pass
TMB recommends the L9 Sud metro line to Fira or Europa | Fira; it connects directly with airport terminals T1 and T2. The FGC trains from Plaça d’Espanya also stop at Europa | Fira. For the North entrance, the L10 Sud to Foc leaves you about six minutes on foot. In 2025 an electric shuttle bus also ran between Plaça d’Espanya and the venue.
In 2026 every MWC and 4YFN attendee received a free pass for unlimited bus, metro and FGC trips in zone 1, including one trip to or from the airport. The organiser has not published the 2027 conditions yet: check them before you travel.
- Airport: L9 Sud from T1 or T2, Airport ticket needed (or the airport trip on the pass).
- City centre: FGC from Plaça d’Espanya, or metro to L9 Sud.
- North entrance and 4YFN: L10 Sud to Foc, then a short walk.
- Coast: Rodalies R2 Sud into Barcelona, then metro or FGC.
Entrances
South entrance, North entrance and 4YFN
Fira Gran Via has two main entrances. In recent editions the South entrance served halls 1 to 5 and the North entrance halls 6 and 7 and 4YFN; the organiser gives the 4YFN entrance as the North Access, Carrer del Foc 37. Your hall decides your entrance, and your entrance decides where you want the car to stop.
The venue sets the vehicle access and drop-off zones for each event. In 2023 there were taxi ranks at both entrances and a private bus drop-off on Carrer de Salvador Espriu by the South entrance; in 2024, an accessible drop-off area behind Hall 3. We confirm the drop-off point for 2027 with you before the week.
By car
When a car is the better choice
A car makes sense for groups, for luggage and stand material, for hotels outside the metro network and for the evenings. It does not beat the metro for one person going from the city centre to the venue at nine in the morning, and we would rather tell you.
VTC services in Catalonia have to be booked in advance; they cannot be hailed on the street. That is one more reason to book the week before you land.

Is public transport included with the MWC badge?
In 2026 it was: a free pass for unlimited bus, metro and FGC in zone 1 and one airport trip, according to the organiser. The 2027 conditions are not published yet.
Which metro station is closest to Fira Gran Via?
Fira and Europa | Fira on the L9 Sud; Europa | Fira is also an FGC station. For the North entrance, Foc on the L10 Sud.
Where is 4YFN?
At Fira Gran Via, on the same dates as MWC. The organiser gives the 4YFN entrance as the North Access, Carrer del Foc 37. Check your hall for 2027 on the organiser’s website.
