The last day of the congress is short and everybody leaves at the same time. The airport is close, about 13 kilometres, but the hours after closing are the ones that need a plan.

The last day

What the last day looked like in 2026

In 2026 the exhibition closed to visitors at 16:00 on the last day, and exhibitors started dismantling at the same time. That morning the press reported queues of about 8.5 km on the Ronda Litoral towards the Llobregat and up to 7.5 km on the Ronda de Dalt, with attendees heading to the venue and a demonstration on Gran Via affecting 17 bus lines.

The lesson is not that it always happens, but that the margin matters on that day. We plan departures from the venue with double the driving time without traffic plus ten minutes, and aim to have you at the terminal two hours before the flight.

Luggage

With suitcases at the venue

Many attendees check out of the hotel in the morning and go to the airport straight from the venue. The organiser lists cloakrooms among its onsite facilities; check their hours in the event app. The alternative is a car that collects the luggage at the hotel and you at the venue, booked as two legs.

Declare suitcases and boxes when you book so we send a vehicle with room for them. Stand teams with material should read build-up and dismantling.

From the hotel, or by train

If you leave from the hotel, choose your hotel area as the origin in the price box. If you go home by train, the leg to Sants is about 10 minutes without traffic (see Sants station). For a group on several flights, one schedule with one vehicle per flight is in delegations.

How long does it take from Fira Gran Via to the airport?

About 14 minutes to T1 (12.7 km) and 15 minutes to T2 (11 km) without traffic. After closing on congress days, plan for considerably more.

What time should I leave the venue for my flight?

We plan to have you at the terminal two hours before departure, with extra driving margin after closing time. The week planner calculates the pick-up for each flight.
